Knitted Cabled Beanie
I have been doing a lot of test knitting (and crocheting) for various makers from Instagram. This Knitted Cabled Beanie is one beanie I was dying to try and when Mary Ann of Granville Stitchery agreed to let me test knit I was super excited, not only for the pattern but for trying out cables again.
I really loved this pattern. I used Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick yarn and it really worked up quickly and lovely. I picked the Oatmeal color to match my faux fur on my winter jacket. This hat worked up in less then 3 hours (I am a slower knitter) and I loved how the cables came together effortlessly.
Mary Ann's Pattern included many photos and detailed explanations that really helped bring this beanie together quickly. Not only is the hat stylish but it has really kept me warm this winter, especially on that cold day that I went to Vogue Knitting Live.
